Designed for cone 04–06 firings, the 15A model runs on standard household current and plugs into a regular 120V outlet.
Beyond ceramics, it's a versatile tool for glass fusing and slumping. Its taller design compared to typical bead annealers makes it well suited for projects like drop molds and pot melts.
Need more heat? A 17A version fires high-temperature glazes up to cone 6 (2,250°F) and needs a dedicated 20A circuit with a 5-20 plug. Ask us to order the 17A model.

Electrical requirements
15A model: 120V, 15A draw, 1,800W, NEMA 5-15P plug on a 20A breaker with 12-gauge wire. 17A model (cone 6, by request): 120V, 17A, dedicated 20A circuit with a NEMA 5-20 receptacle. Have a licensed electrician confirm your circuit, breaker and receptacle before the kiln arrives.

What electrical service do I need?
Each model's voltage, amperage, breaker, wire gauge and receptacle or plug are listed in the Specifications and Electrical requirements above. Check your setup with our Electrical Readiness Checker, and have a licensed electrician confirm your circuit before the kiln arrives.
What's the difference between standard and 3-inch brick?
Jen-Ken's 3" brick offers about 20% more insulation than standard brick, for better energy efficiency and heat retention, and is suited to frequent, production-level firing. Ask us about the brick options for this model.
How is freight quoted?
We quote freight upfront, before you pay for it, based on your delivery address and whether you need residential liftgate delivery. Shipping is not included in the kiln price. See our Shipping Policy.
What's the lead time?
Jen-Ken kilns are made to order and ship direct from the manufacturer. We confirm the current lead time with you when you order.
Can I return it?
Eligible items can be returned within 90 days of delivery if they're unused, in original packaging, and haven't been wired in or fired. Custom or built-to-order units aren't returnable, and the customer covers return freight. Contact us for a return authorization before shipping anything back. Full details are in our Return Policy.
What warranty does it have?
Jen-Ken includes a 2-year limited warranty covering both the kiln and the controller. If something develops a fault, contact us and we'll coordinate the warranty claim.
Can I add a controller upgrade, furniture kit or vent?
Jen-Ken offers options such as upgraded controllers, furniture kits, stands and vents. Ask us or call (737) 231-1880 and we'll quote the options that fit your kiln.
