Shipping Policy

Freight delivery quoted upfront — no surprises. You'll know your freight and delivered cost up front before you purchase — no surprise freight at checkout.

How large equipment ships

Kilns and many large studio items ship by LTL freight (less-than-truckload), not a porch drop like a small parcel.

  • Liftgate — recommended for most residential deliveries without a loading dock. The truck uses a liftgate so the pallet can come down to ground level.
  • Curbside — freight is typically delivered to the curb or driveway. Moving the equipment into your studio is usually your responsibility unless other arrangements were confirmed on your order.

Please read our Freight Receiving Guide before delivery day — inspect before you sign, note damage on the receipt, and keep photos.

Alaska, Hawaii, and remote / limited-access locations

A freight surcharge may apply for Alaska, Hawaii, and remote or limited-access addresses. We'll quote that honestly before you purchase — no dollar amounts invented at checkout as a surprise.

Signature

Signature is required on freight deliveries.

Inspect your delivery

Freight damage is rare, but it happens. Please inspect your shipment before you sign for it. If you see any damage, note it on the delivery receipt and contact us within 48 hours — we'll handle the claim and make it right.

Keep the original crate and packaging until you're sure everything is right — unused items can be returned within 90 days in their original packaging (RMA required; 20% restocking fee on all items; special-order and built-to-order items not returnable; customer pays return freight). See Returns & Refunds.

Handling and transit times

Lead times vary by model and destination — many kilns are built to order. We confirm current handling and freight transit expectations for your specific order before you commit. Ask us for a current estimate anytime.
