The PARAGON CT122822 Janus elevates that tradition by combining a massive 12-sided firing chamber with a dual-mode heating system designed for both ceramics and glass. If you work across mediums or want the flexibility to grow into new techniques, this kiln is your studio’s ultimate workhorse.

Why choose the PARAGON CT122822 Janus?

The CT122822 Janus features a 28” interior diameter and 22” interior height, delivering a spacious 8.11 cubic feet of firing capacity. It’s ideal for production-scale pottery, oversized platters, and fully loaded multi-shelf firings. The kiln’s wide profile makes it easier to load than deeper models, making it especially popular with high-output studios and educational facilities.

Even better, it’s rated to cone 10, delivering dependable performance for all clay bodies—from low-fire earthenware to high-fire porcelain and stoneware. And with Janus dual-mode technology, it’s also a powerful tool for slumping, sagging, and fusing glass on a grand scale.

Janus Dual-Mode Firing: Two Programs, One Kiln

What makes the Janus edition unique is its dual heating system, with elements in both the top and sidewalls.
